WARNING - GRAPHIC MATERIAL
TOPIC: THE ART OF THE HOLOCAUST

I post this in honor of those who suffered so much under the capricious rule of a hateful dictator and the racist sycophants who did his bidding with glee and intentionality.

Such hatreds and cruelties are not gone from the world simply because the Nazis were defeated. Those demons still walk the halls of the governments of this world, and the churches that have no courage to speak out and resist such cruelty and the domination of one nation over those targeted as enemies of the state.

It begins with the ideas and values of those who hate "the other." Simple acts of exclusion and disdain, name-calling and vilification produce the terrible inhumane effects we see recorded in this book.

Some of this material was presented in the Nuremberg trials when key Nazis and their cohorts were tried in an international court.

I personally remember how, during their trials, the Nazis continued to scoff and mock, and laugh out loud at their adjudicators. They were defiant to the end. Nothing could convince them that what they had done was wrong. Rather, they were proud of it. MANY still have the same hatreds -- even in our own nation. The Nazis and Fascists are not gone. They are stronger and more populous than ever before This is not unlike what has happened in the US with the January 6th insurrection. The attitudes are the same, only the perpetrators have changed.

This must surely give us pause. Not only that such ideas and hatreds exist, but especially because people are compliant and complicit in such ungodly acts in our own time.

We must pray, speak out and resist every IDEA and every ACTION that could well reproduce a Holocaust in our own time.
